![]() Think about this: Max's power isn't just a power, but something that's inherently consequential with regard to the plot. And, at least on paper, one would think that their aim is to up the ante from S1. At the same time, however, I feel like Dontnod is - slowly but surely - laying down all the little clues that will eventually take the actual story to its highs. Hence considering that there's a good chance that most characters might not make a comeback (or just not feature as prominently) because of the traveling nature of the story, the interplay between Sean and Daniel is obviously where it's at, so my guess is that they will keep evolving at a fast pace both independently and in relation to each other, according to the player's choices. That's a choice that inevitably has a smaller pay-off in the short run, but we'll only see how much sense it makes by the end. Here, E1 and E2 are all Sean and Daniel, so it's mostly characters over story. ![]() ![]() Which is fine, I guess, given that S1 too took off at E3, and used most of E1 and E2 to establish Arcadia Bay and Blackwell as environments. We're 40% of the way through, and if it wasn't for Captain Spirit (as in, the mini-prequel) there'd be very little to hold on to. So far, story wise, LiS 2 has been somewhat underwhelming not because what we've seen is bad (far from it), but because not much has happened, quantitatively speaking. It may sound a little wild, but bear with me. I've been thinking about this, and I'd be curious to hear what you think.
